My Design Philosophy
Beautiful design not only starts with an innovative idea but effectual sculpting of that idea. Designing is about refining a concept to its essence. Whether it is identity design, typography, or web design, I work to ensure that every element is purposeful and relevant.
Hello, my name is Jolene Choi. I am a graphic designer (as well as a budding hand letterer and surface pattern designer) working within the Chicagoland area.
As a designer, I have an affinity for negative space, curvilinear lines, and elegant typography. It is the amalgamation of my flowing designs along with my love for all things analytical that allows me to create designs that are elegant, yet purposeful and relevant.
I have an eclectic past that includes a background in music, art history, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business. I was the recipient of the Faculty Award at the College of DuPage Portfolio Night, Editor of the third edition of Brain Flower, designer of the College of DuPage Graphic Design Department’s identity, and selected for the Adobe Mentorship Program.
As a freelancer, I am always looking to take on new projects or collaborations. Please email me if you have any interest in working together.
